TL;DR
Lead Software Engineer (Go): Building and extending next-generation observability services and control plane solutions for data pipelines with an accent on distributed systems, concurrency, and production-scale performance. Focus on designing scalable backend architecture, implementing automation, and driving shared code ownership within a multidisciplinary team.
Location: Must be based in Barcelona, Spain (Hybrid/Remote/Onsite options available for local residents).

What you will do
- Design, build, and scale backend services and supporting infrastructure tools.
- Participate in architectural definitions with a high degree of innovation.
- Create automation and tooling to improve system scalability and deployment efficiency.
- Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team to solve complex customer scenarios.
- Research new tools and services to propose innovative features.
- Operate in an agile environment with a DevOps approach, including on-call rotations.
Requirements
- Extensive hands-on experience with distributed systems, concurrency, and production-scale systems.
- Strong proficiency in GoLang (primary language).
- Basic proficiency in React for frontend tasks.
- Deep knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Proven track record of delivering production code in an Agile environment.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Spain (no visa sponsorship available).
Nice to have
- Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code.
- Familiarity with Temporal for workflow orchestration.
- GitHub Admin experience and CLI tool development in Go.
- Experience mentoring engineers and upskilling team members.
- Knowledge of async programming, streams, and event-driven architecture.
