Fullstack AI Tech Lead (Golang/Python/React): Leading the engineering execution of Athia’s payment intelligence and digital workforce capabilities with an accent on AI systems, payment orchestration, and scalable product delivery. Focus on designing distributed systems, optimizing ML output execution, and ensuring system reliability under high transaction growth.

Location: Hybrid (San Francisco) or Remote from anywhere

What you will do

Lead the technical architecture and execution for the AI-driven payment operations ecosystem.
Design and maintain backend services using Golang and Python, ensuring low-latency execution of ML outputs.
Develop scalable frontend applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
Implement cloud-native and hybrid/on-premise deployment strategies for secure data synchronization.
Mentor a team of engineers, drive code quality, and establish observability and incident response processes.
Collaborate with Modeling and Product teams to translate vision into actionable technical roadmaps.

Requirements

5+ years of software engineering experience with strong backend expertise.
At least 2 years of experience in a Tech Lead or technical leadership role.
Proficiency in Golang, Python, React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
Experience with distributed systems, gRPC, RESTful APIs, and scalable infrastructure design.
Knowledge of payment systems, fintech platforms, or high-transaction environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
