What you will do

• Administer, optimize, and govern Kafka, AWS MSK, Kinesis, and OpenSearch platforms.
• Design scalable, fault-tolerant, and secure streaming architectures.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and performance-tune distributed systems and handle capacity planning.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or similar IaC tools.
• Implement security controls, automation, and operational best practices.
• Collaborate with engineering and analytics teams to enable AI-driven data solutions and real-time processing.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience with Kafka administration and distributed streaming systems.
• Strong expertise in AWS cloud services, specifically MSK and Kinesis.
• Proficiency in Linux administration, automation, and Python development.
• Must be based in Atlanta, GA or Sandy, UT.

• Experience with Flink using Spring Boot.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes orchestration and OpenSearch cluster administration.
• Experience with Snowflake integration.
• Familiarity with AI-enabled engineering workflows and tools such as Claude.
