Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to a hub (San Francisco, Denver, Nashville, or Santiago). Role requires 3+ days a week in-office.
Salary: $168,000 - $198,000 USD

What you will do
- Design, develop, and deploy production-grade ML models and AI services.
- Integrate LLM APIs into core products with a focus on cost, latency, and quality.
- Write clean, testable, and well-structured production software.
- Partner with product and engineering teams to translate business needs into ML solutions.
- Build evaluation frameworks and iterate rapidly on model performance.
- Automate pipelines and contribute to agentic workflows.
Requirements
- 4+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 2 years building production ML systems.
- Strong Python fluency with solid OOP instincts.
- Hands-on experience with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, and structured outputs.
- Experience maintaining APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and distributed systems.
- Strong communication skills to explain technical decisions to non-technical stakeholders.
- Must be based in or willing to relocate to a hub location.
Nice to have
- Experience with MLOps platforms like MLflow or SageMaker.
- Background in document processing, OCR, or information extraction.
- Experience with PySpark or large-scale data processing.
- Ruby/Rails experience.
- Familiarity with compliance-sensitive domains like fintech or HR tech.
