Lead Assessor, Responsible Sourcing

Location: Homebased in Canada, with travel up to 80% of the time

What you will do

• Conduct responsible sourcing assessments and social compliance audits against local laws and assessment standards.
• Lead opening meetings, management interviews, facility walkthroughs, document reviews, and worker interviews.
• Triangulate evidence to evaluate workplace practices and reach informed conclusions.
• Present audit results and recommend improvements to working conditions.
• Prepare accurate, comprehensive assessment reports in English and clarify findings for clients and other stakeholders.
• Meet targets for report turnaround time, report quality, and budget.

Requirements

• Four-year college degree in Law, Human Resources, Occupational Health and Safety, Environment, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
• At least three years of social compliance auditing experience and 100 verifiable social compliance audit days.
• APSCA registration with CSCA status, plus a valid driver's license.
• Excellent written and verbal English and French; Spanish is a plus.
• Strong customer service, problem-solving, negotiation, reporting, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work across industries and multicultural environments while handling sensitive information with integrity.

Nice to have

• RBA, BSCI, or SLCP certification.
• Advanced degree.
• Spanish language skills.
