Senior Systems Engineer (Space System Studies - Communication Network) (Aerospace)

What you will do

• Analyze mission and system needs for space communication networks.
• Define information and data flows between space assets, network elements, and ground systems.
• Develop and compare architecture options for space and ground data dissemination.
• Conduct trade studies, specify selected solutions, and bring them into operational systems.
• Prepare system specifications and interface control documents.
• Coordinate solutions with suppliers, subcontractors, OHB experts, and international project partners.

Requirements

• Diploma or Master's degree in aerospace engineering, electronics, communications, or an equivalent field.
• Several years of experience defining communication networks and ideally experience in defence or security systems engineering projects.
• Experience with applicable standards and processes in space communication.
• Strong self-organization, work-planning, communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
• Ability and willingness to obtain German security clearance.
• Fluent spoken and written English and the ability to work in multicultural teams.
