What you will do

• Own applied science use cases from initial opportunity identification to production deployment.
• Develop and prototype algorithms for efficient courier task assignments.
• Collaborate with software engineers, product managers, and designers to integrate solutions into the logistics engine.
• Monitor and continuously improve models and algorithms in a production environment.
• Apply statistical analysis and operations research methodologies to solve complex business problems.
• Communicate technical concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Must be based in Helsinki, Berlin, or Stockholm
• Solid experience in Operations Research and production-level Applied Science projects.
• Strong foundation in statistics and deep understanding of Operations Research principles.
• Fluent coding ability in Python and experience working with SQL databases.
• Proven ability to work in highly complex domains and drive solutions end-to-end.
• Understanding of MLOps and software engineering best practices.

Nice to have

• Experience within logistics, optimization, or operational research domains.
• Knowledge of experimental design and A/B testing.
• Experience with C++ or Go.
• Degree in a field related to Operations Research or Applied Science.
