TFSM EHS Intern Engineer

What you will do

• Coordinate and support site EHS programs including hearing conservation, working at heights, and PPE.
• Conduct risk assessments to identify workplace hazards and recommend mitigation actions.
• Assist in accident and incident investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Support the maintenance of EHS management systems aligned with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
• Analyze EHS data to identify trends and define focus areas for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Safety, Industrial Hygiene, and Environmental Engineering.

Requirements

• NFQ Level 8 qualification in a core EHS discipline OR a third-level qualification in science, chemical engineering, or process engineering plus a postgraduate diploma/MSc in EHS.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proactive mindset with a strong sense of initiative.

Nice to have

• 1–2 years of relevant industrial experience in a similar EHS role.
