Location: Must be based in or able to work from the office in Zürich, Switzerland (Hybrid: up to 2 days remote per week)

What you will do

• Design and evolve the backend architecture of a multi-tenant SaaS platform.
• Build and improve APIs and services for document processing and internal platform logic.
• Develop robust PostgreSQL data models supporting complex workflows and customer integrations.
• Integrate external ERP and accounting systems via APIs and event-driven workflows.
• Enhance authentication and authorization mechanisms including RBAC and SSO.
• Introduce engineering best practices such as testing, CI/CD, and monitoring.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of backend development experience.
• Strong experience building and operating production-grade backend systems.
• Proficiency in designing database schemas and backend architectures for complex business workflows.
• Deep understanding of authentication and authorization concepts (RBAC, OAuth, SSO).
• Experience with relational databases, specifically PostgreSQL.
• Must be comfortable working in a hybrid setup in Zürich.

Nice to have

• Experience building multi-tenant SaaS systems.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Experience designing systems for document processing or large datasets.
• Background in improving engineering maturity (testing, CI/CD, observability).
