TL;DR

Technical Product Owner Lead (Fintech): Leading a team of Technical Product Owners and owning the B2C product stream for a global crypto and payments infrastructure with an accent on technical requirements documentation (TRD/BRD) and UML sequence diagrams. Focus on scaling TPO standards, managing complex backlogs in a regulated environment, and bridging the gap between business goals and engineering execution.

What you will do

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of 4 TPOs embedded across 7 product streams.
  • Own the B2C product stream backlog end-to-end, from discovery to sprint-ready.
  • Write high-quality technical requirements, including TRDs, BRDs, and UML sequence diagrams.
  • Define and maintain TPO standards for backlog quality, acceptance criteria, and documentation templates.
  • Manage hiring, performance reviews, and individual development plans for the TPO team.
  • Collaborate daily with engineering leads, product designers, and the CPO to surface risks and ensure delivery.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as a Technical Product Owner or Senior TPO.
  • Proven experience directly managing a team of Product Owners or TPOs.
  • Expertise in writing TRDs, BRDs, and UML sequence diagrams.
  • Experience in fintech, payments, crypto, or similar complex and regulated technical environments.
  • Fluent English proficiency for all working communication.
  • Strong foundation in Business Analysis, including process mapping and gap analysis.

Nice to have

  • Crypto-specific experience with exchanges, wallets, on/off-ramps, or DeFi.
  • Knowledge of MiCA, VASP, or EU crypto regulatory frameworks.
  • CSPO, SAFe PO/PM, or CBAP certifications.
  • Experience with platform or API product ownership.
