Company
is building Scientific Superintelligence to automate the entire scientific method autonomously across medicine, materials, and energy.
What you will do
- Develop and deploy robust multiphysics models across coupled domains (thermal, fluid, structural, electromagnetic, chemical) using FEM and CFD techniques.
- Build integrated multiscale frameworks that connect atomistic, mesoscale, and continuum representations.
- Design and implement programmatic, agent-driven simulation workflows for autonomous configuration and refinement within discovery cycles.
- Create scalable, GPU-accelerated simulation pipelines and interoperable APIs connecting commercial tools like COMSOL and ANSYS.
- Collaborate with AI, software, and automation teams to integrate computational predictions with robotic laboratory platforms.
Requirements
- PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field.
- Must be based in or able to work from Cambridge, MA USA.
- Extensive experience with multiphysics simulation methods and numerical algorithms (FEM, CFD, TCAD, or mesoscale modelling).
- Strong foundation in coupled physical phenomena, including heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and electromagnetism.
- Experience applying simulation to industrial settings such as semiconductors, chemical processing, or aerospace.
- Solid programming skills in Python for building automation pipelines or custom numerical models.
Nice to have
- Experience bridging atomistic simulations with continuum models.
- Familiarity with ML approaches applied to physical simulations (surrogate models, PINNs) and GPU acceleration.
- Experience integrating simulation frameworks into digital twin systems or closed-loop control workflows.
- Background in thin-film deposition, micro/nano-fabrication, or reactive transport.
Culture & Benefits
- Competitive base compensation with bonus potential and generous early-stage equity.
- Comprehensive U.S. and International benefit packages.
- High-velocity startup environment tackling problems of historic importance.
- Culture guided by values of truth, trust, curiosity, grit, and velocity.
