Senior/Lead iOS Engineer (iOS)

TL;DR

Location: On-site in New York City (5 days a week)

Salary: $180k – $275k + Equity

What you will do

• Own major parts of the iOS codebase and drive critical architecture decisions.
• Build and optimize video-heavy features including recording, clipping, playback, and social feeds.
• Address performance bottlenecks to reduce stutter and improve frame rates.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with design, backend, and product teams to ship features rapidly.
• Mentor junior engineers and maintain a high bar for code quality and engineering culture.

Requirements

• 5+ years of recent experience shipping iOS applications.
• Proficiency in Swift, UIKit, and SwiftUI.
• Experience with Swift Concurrency, Combine, and AVFoundation.
• Track record of working on complex real-time apps or video/media-heavy workflows.
• Must be based in New York City for full-time on-site work.

Nice to have

• Experience working with video at a consumer-facing company.
• Ability to develop on both Android and iOS.
• Experience with Objective-C, iPadOS, or macOS.
• CI/CD experience, specifically with Xcode Cloud.
