What you will do

• Serve as the technical lead of a cross-functional pod, owning technical strategy and architectural direction for the Growth surface.
• Ship a steady cadence of subscription growth experiments across web, mobile, and CTV to drive conversion, retention, and ARPU.
• Build internal tooling and experiment scaffolding to measurably reduce cycle time and increase pod velocity.
• Establish standards for experiment hygiene, including feature flags, validated instrumentation, and Core Web Vitals preservation.
• Mentor engineers through code and design reviews to elevate the technical bar of the team.
• Coordinate with cross-team dependencies to resolve technical blockers for growth initiatives.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, including staff-level leadership.
• Proven track record of moving key metrics (conversion, ARPU, LTV) within consumer subscription growth at scale.
• Full-stack proficiency in TypeScript/JavaScript, Node.js, and Ruby on Rails.
• Hands-on experience with Stripe, Segment, Amplitude, LaunchDarkly, or similar subscription and analytics tools.
• Strong data literacy with ability to write SQL and evaluate the trustworthiness of experiment results.
• Must be eligible to work in the US (based on US-specific benefits like 401k).

Nice to have

• Experience building internal growth tooling that accelerated velocity at an organizational level.
• Native mobile or CTV development experience (e.g., Roku, Fire TV).
• Previous experience in sports media or OTT streaming.
