What you will do

• Design and implement high-performance robotics software in C++ for AV behavior and control.
• Lead team code quality efforts through design and code reviews.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to define software and system requirements.
• Develop unit and simulation tests to validate performance across operational domains.
• Execute on-vehicle tests and root-cause issues reported from commercial operations.
• Create tools and visualizations for performance analysis of behavior and control subsystems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a strong math/engineering field.
• 7+ years of industry experience working on real-world robot systems.
• Expertise in behavior planning, path planning, machine learning, or localization.
• Strong proficiency in C/C++ and development in a Linux environment.
• Must be based in the USA.
• Experience delivering at least two commercial projects at a systems-level.

Nice to have

• Masters or PhD in Robotics, CS, or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• Knowledge of optimization techniques like QP or control theoretic splines.
• Demonstrated experience mentoring junior engineers.
