Staff GL Accountant

TL;DR

Staff GL (A2R) Accountant: Supports period-end close and reporting activities for U.S.-based entities with an accent on U.S. GAAP accounting, month-end close processes, and internal controls. Focus on preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, intercompany accounting, and providing audit documentation.

Location: Warsaw, Poland (hybrid - 3 days in office per week). US work hours overlap required.

What you will do

• Assist with monthly close activities including journal entry preparation and posting under supervision
• Support balance sheet account reconciliations and basic variance analysis
• Maintain accounting documentation compliant with U.S. GAAP and internal controls
• Handle intercompany accounting and group reporting activities
• Provide documentation for audit requests and internal control testing
• Prepare standard reports and schedules for corporate review
• Participate in process improvement initiatives and respond to ad-hoc requests

Requirements

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 0–2 years of accounting experience, internships or traineeships acceptable
• Basic understanding of U.S. GAAP principles
• Very good written and spoken English
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Familiarity with ERP systems and Excel preferred
