Revenue Accountant

TL;DR

Revenue Accountant: Processing, analyzing, and accurately reporting revenue transactions in accordance with US GAAP for a U.S.-based public company with an accent on month-end/quarter-end close activities, revenue recognition, and cutoff. Focus on preparing journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, supporting audits, and collaborating with Sales and FP&A teams on promotions and customer agreements.

Location: Warsaw, Poland (hybrid - 3 days in office per week). US work hours overlap required.

What you will do

• Process, reconcile, and validate revenue transactions per US GAAP, including deferrals, accruals, and journal entries.
• Monitor sales orders, shipments, invoicing, and returns for completeness and proper cutoff.
• Collaborate with Sales, Commercial, and FP&A teams on revenue impacts from promotions, programs, and agreements.
• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations for deferred revenue and related accounts.
• Ensure internal controls, policies, and audit requirements; support internal/external audits with documentation.

Requirements

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience with revenue accounting and close processes.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Advanced Excel and strong analytical skills.
• Very good written and spoken English.
