TL;DR

Mechanical Supervisor (Renewable Energy): Providing mechanical expertise during the installation and finishing phases of wind turbine projects with an accent on subcontractor supervision, HSE compliance, and quality control. Focus on implementing technical solutions for wind farm assembly, conducting mechanical quality checks, and ensuring structural integrity of WTG components.

Location: UK & Ireland (Rotation: 3 weeks on site, 1 week off; requires full UK/EU Driving Licence)

What you will do

  • Supervise subcontractors during the erection and finishing of Wind Turbine Generators (WTG).
  • Ensure strict compliance with HSE rules and CDM site regulations.
  • Perform mechanical quality checks using the Q-Gate 23 checklist and verify torque applications.
  • Provide technical guidance for corrective measures to remedy defects.
  • Train colleagues and subcontractors on site.
  • Manage the distribution and calibration of special tools and equipment.

Requirements

  • Degree-level education with significant experience in a similar mechanical supervisor role.
  • Proven experience with K08 installation processes and working with cranes.
  • In-depth technical knowledge of wind farms and turbines.
  • Valid Irish Safe Pass and CSCS cards required.
  • Full UK/EU Driving Licence.
  • Ability to work on remote sites with approximately 60% travel.
