Deputy Security Controller (Cybersecurity)

Location: Onsite in Maidenhead, United Kingdom, with infrequent travel to other UK offices

What you will do

• Support the Security Controller in administering physical security measures, including guards, keys, locks, CCTV, intrusion detection systems, asset disposal, and site security routines.
• Assist with personnel-security activities such as BPSS checks, access approvals, visitor requests, and IVCO requests.
• Manage access-control processes, including combination changes, document checks, mustering, training, and asset movement records.
• Administer supply-chain security checks and contracts, including logging SALs.
• Support security-breach investigations, electronic-security reviews, asset-loss reporting, authority liaison, and corrective actions.
• Maintain sensitive-asset records in the Wiseman database and ensure compliance with need-to-know and security-clearance aftercare requirements.

Requirements

• British citizenship is required to enable handling of Eyes Only material.
• Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain the required security clearance; UK residency for the past 5 years is required for SC clearance and 10 years for DV clearance.
• Flexibility to travel within the UK and a full driving licence.
• Ability to interpret requirements from Security and Personnel Controllers and understand the business impact of non-compliance.
• Good verbal and written English.
• Working knowledge of Gov Stan 007 and the security policy framework is desirable.
