What you will do
- Adapt global marketing strategy to local market trends, competitive landscape, and cultural shifts in Malaysia.
- Manage and mentor local team (KOL, SMM/Community, PR/Events, Content specialists), setting direction and removing blockers.
- Develop quarterly marketing plans and manage regional budget allocation based on performance data.
- Monitor campaign performance using analytics platforms and guide team priorities based on user behavior.
- Act as key liaison between local team and Global HQ, sharing insights and coordinating campaigns.
Requirements
- 4+ years marketing experience, 2+ years in leadership role overseeing team of 3+ specialists in fintech, crypto, or retail trading.
- Expertise in organic and partnership-driven acquisition in Malaysia.
- Strong understanding of marketing 360: brand building, KOL/influencer marketing, PR, community growth, performance marketing, SMM.
- Proven experience allocating and optimizing $50,000+ monthly regional budgets, driving CPA down and ROI up.
- Hands-on with Google Analytics 4, Tableau, or PowerBI for cohort data, traffic quality, LTV trends.
- Experience with project management tools (Jira, Asana, Confluence).
- Native Malay and fluent business English for cross-regional communication.
Nice to have
- Background in sourcing and closing deals with Malaysian influencers, bloggers, media, partners.
- Proficiency with AppsFlyer or Adjust for attribution, conversion tracking, fraud detection.
- Knowledge of financial advertising compliance in Malaysia.
- Familiarity with AI and automation tools for content and campaigns.
