What you will do

• Perform stress calculations for crane components using static and fatigue failure theories.
• Evaluate strength and fatigue life of fasteners, shafts, bearings, and gears per AWS, AISC, CMAA, AGMA standards.
• Use MathCad, ANSYS, and in-house tools for mechanical and structural analysis conforming to NOG, ASME, EN specs.
• Build 3D ANSYS models simulating crane behavior, including seismic events.
• Conduct global/local buckling analysis and optimization of girders and components.
• Develop programs in MathCad, Excel, APDL to automate calculations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical, Structural or Civil Engineering (Master’s or PhD preferred).
• Minimum 2 years experience in mechanical/structural calculations for steel equipment (5 years preferred).
• Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.
• Expertise in AWS D1.1/D14.1, AISC, CMAA, AGMA standards.
• Knowledge of ASCE, IBC codes is a plus.
