Senior Enterprise Network Engineer

TL;DR

Senior Enterprise Network Engineer (Fintech): Oversee and enhance sophisticated network infrastructure spanning datacenters to millions of end-users with an accent on multi-vendor high-availability solutions, dynamic routing, and regulatory compliance. Focus on troubleshooting complex wired/wireless issues, implementing network optimizations, and automating changes with Python and Ansible.

Location: Remote within the United States, except California. Up to 20% travel for onsite meetings or trainings. May require onsite interview or in-person onboarding to verify identity.

What you will do

• Maintain and deploy multi-vendor high-availability network solutions for enterprise and data centers, ensuring financial industry compliance.
• Configure routers, switches, and Wireless Controllers (Cisco, Arista).
• Implement dynamic routing protocols like BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, MPLS.
• Develop and use network automation scripts with Python and Ansible for production changes.
• Troubleshoot wired/wireless connectivity issues and optimize network performance.
• Collaborate with Security, Systems, and Operations teams; participate in on-call rotation and capacity planning.
• Mentor junior engineers and maintain network documentation.

Requirements

• At least 6 years in network engineering in large enterprise environments.
• Expertise in Layer 2/3 protocols (VLANs, STP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, Wi-Fi).
• Hands-on with network automation/scripting (Ansible/Python).
• Experience with SD-WAN, cloud networking (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), CLOS architecture (Cisco ACI, Arista).
• Familiarity with Cisco ASA and Palo Alto firewalls.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or IT.
• Certifications: Cisco CCIE/CCNP, Arista ACS.
• Experience with Cisco ACI, Arista Fabric, datacenter/service provider routing.
• Fintech or financial services sector experience.
