What you will do

• Lead test programs in lab and via subcontracts for repair technologies.
• Plan, execute, and report on experiments and technical designs/procedures.
• Draft and manage subcontracts for repair method development and demonstration.
• Travel to vendors and shipyards for project planning, testing, and deployment.
• Develop and interpret specifications, drawings, and engineering standards.
• Analyze experimental results and prepare technical reports.

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or related + 5 years relevant experience; or MS + 2 years.
• DOE L Clearance (or DOD equivalent) required.
• US citizenship required.
• Digital design/CAD skills; familiarity with data acquisition hardware/software preferred.
• Ability to plan/execute test programs, design experiments, and lead lab operations.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of materials engineering and industrial operations.
• Experience developing, testing, and qualifying repair procedures.
