GDS Systems Trainer

TL;DR

GDS Systems Trainer (Travel): Developing and delivering end-to-end process training for GDS platforms and TMC operations with an accent on training materials, KPIs alignment, and performance optimization. Focus on facilitating live and e-learning sessions, monitoring effectiveness, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Location: On-site at Virginia Beach, VA office. Must be amenable to remote work from a designated home office with occasional travel to training sites.

What you will do

• Deliver comprehensive training on GDS platforms (Worldspan, Travelport+) and TMC processes.
• Develop training materials, documentation, and presentations aligned with KPIs.
• Facilitate in-person, virtual, and e-learning sessions to improve team performance.
• Monitor and report on training effectiveness, providing coaching and adjustments.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, managers, and stakeholders for consistent programs.
• Identify training needs based on metrics and serve as backup consultant for clients.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-3 years experience in training and development within the travel industry
• Proficiency in GDS systems (Worldspan, Travelport+, Sabre, Galileo, Amadeus)
• Strong familiarity with TMC operations and team travel processes
• Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills
• Experience with LMS and e-learning platforms
