What you will do

• Collaborate with hardware engineers to design and develop electronic data processing systems for commercial software.
• Analyze user needs and system capabilities to resolve problems regarding program intent and output requirements.
• Design, develop, and modify software systems using scientific analysis and mathematical models.
• Develop and maintain logical and physical database descriptions within the IDMS environment.
• Coordinate software system installations and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met.
• Estimate time and cost for project requests based on database user needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a relevant field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Mainframe IDMS and COBOL.
• Must be eligible for employment in the US (E-Verify participating company).
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with a professional presence.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for client interaction.

Nice to have

• Experience with Agile methodology and ADSO.
• Past experience working with federal, state, or local government agencies.
• Experience working with the Department of Defense (DoD).
• Knowledge of SQL, Visual Basic, and the full software development lifecycle.
