AI/ML Engineer I (AI)

Location: Remote (USA). Must be a U.S. Citizen and work EST hours (8:30 AM - 5:30 PM)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain AI/ML components for secure, production-grade applications.
• Troubleshoot system behavior, resolve defects, and perform root cause analysis.
• Implement and optimize LLM integrations, prompt engineering, and RAG pipelines.
• Manage data preprocessing, feature engineering, and quality remediation.
• Execute LLMOps practices including monitoring, versioning, and performance tracking.
• Integrate AI services via REST APIs within secure backend systems.

Requirements

• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related technical field.
• 1–3 years of professional experience in AI/ML engineering, data science, or software development.
• Strong proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with OpenAI or similar LLM APIs.
• Experience with transformer-based architecture (e.g., Hugging Face Transformers).
• Eligibility for U.S. Public Trust clearance.

Nice to have

• Experience integrating AI services into cloud environments, preferably Azure.
• Understanding of LLMOps concepts including model monitoring and prompt iteration.
• Ability to debug model outputs and trace issues across data, prompts, and system integrations.
