Full-Stack Software Engineer, LabOps

TL;DR

Full-Stack Software Engineer (LabOps): Developing digital tools and automation solutions for laboratory operations with an accent on web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript and Python hosted in Azure. Focus on building software solutions, optimizing user workflows, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams including data scientists and architects.

Location: Remote from Italy or Poland, 10% travel required (valid passport needed)

Salary: From 175,300 PLN gross annually (Poland) + 10% incentive

What you will do

• Develop and modify information system programs for lab automation and digitization.
• Implement requirements across multiple platforms, operating systems, and applications.
• Analyze and resolve application issues, support problem resolution.
• Identify system requirements by interviewing users and recommending solutions.
• Monitor project progress, improve system performance, and investigate technology trends.
• Collaborate with users, product teams, technology teams, and management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
• 3+ years with modern JavaScript frameworks (Vue.js, React.js, Angular or similar)
• 3+ years backend development (Django, Flask, FastAPI or equivalent)
• Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Ability to travel internationally ~10% (valid passport required)
• Proficiency with Git/GitHub, TypeScript, Linux, shell/bash scripts

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience in electrical lab (test equipment, soldering, breadboarding)
• Experience with Azure/AWS, Docker, Azure DevOps/Jira
