What you will do

• Own architecture of agent-readable Shop Builder: expose APIs via REST, SDK, MCP, CLI.
• Define interface contracts for React components, custom blocks, themes, data binding.
• Design and lead MCP server for AI agents to build, deploy, operate storefronts autonomously.
• Architect CLI, local dev environment, scaffolding, preview, production push.
• Set deploy, versioning, rollback for custom content; design sandbox/preview systems.
• Establish documentation standards for LLMs/humans; lead eval harness for LLM outputs.
• Collaborate across teams; raise technical bar, mentor, contribute to hiring.

Requirements

• 10+ years engineering, track record as Staff/Principal shaping platforms/APIs/developer tooling
• Deep expertise in public APIs/SDKs: versioning, compatibility, ergonomics
• Expert JavaScript/TypeScript, React
• Hands-on CLI tooling, local dev workflows
• Understanding of MCP/agentic interfaces, AI agent tools
• Global scale systems on AWS/GCP: containerization, CI/CD, IaC
• LLM-friendly docs/APIs; exceptional technical communication
• Comfort in greenfield contexts
