What you will do

• Define subsystem architectures, develop requirement specifications, and create comprehensive test plans.
• Coordinate across mechanical, optical, electrical, and software functions to meet technical, schedule, and budgetary requirements.
• Participate in prototype integration and testing of assemblies, subsystems, and full systems.
• Create and execute test plans and perform analysis to validate system performance.
• Develop and document calibration, manufacturing, and service procedures.
• Lead troubleshooting efforts in manufacturing and the field to optimize tool performance and resolve subsystem issues.

Requirements

• Strong background in engineering or physical sciences with demonstrated analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of optical, electromechanical, and software systems interactions within complex industrial equipment.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills in optics, opto-mechanics, and motion control systems.
• Experience taking projects through the entire lifecycle from requirements to first article testing and manufacturing hand-off.
• Academic/Experience requirements: Doctorate (2+ years), Master's (4+ years), or Bachelor's (5+ years).
• Ability to travel as required.

Nice to have

• Experience with lasers, illumination systems, and CCD/CMOS cameras.
• Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Python.
• Specific experience in developing subsystems for imaging or mechatronic systems.
