What you will do
- Copy edit projects for spelling, grammar, consistency, balance, tone, creative brief fulfillment, AMA style, and accurate referencing.
- Perform fact-checking and clean reads on unbranded claims, promotional materials, and data claims.
- Review and edit client/MLR changes within the full context of materials.
- Prepare MLR submissions by tagging and linking in client systems.
- Lead editing for assigned accounts, represent editorial at meetings, and ensure compliance with client processes.
- Collaborate with account teams to improve internal routing and efficiencies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Life Science, Regulatory or related field.
- Minimum 3 years editing experience in medical communications, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry.
- At least 1 year in advertising/pharmaceutical marketing preferred.
- At least 1 year editing publications (manuscripts, posters) preferred.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat.
- Familiarity with PubMed, Google Scholar, AMA Style (11th edition), MLR requirements, and platforms like Veeva.
- High autonomy, detail-oriented, strong written/verbal English skills, ability to manage priorities.
Nice to have
- Experience with MLR reviews.
- Knowledge of FDA requirements for pharmaceutical advertising.
- Familiarity with editing long-form writing like publications or dossiers.
