What you will do
- Copy edit projects for spelling, grammar, consistency, tone, creative brief fulfillment, AMA style, and accurate referencing.
- Perform fact checking and clean reads on unbranded claims, promotional materials, and data claims.
- Review and edit client and MLR changes within the full context of materials.
- Prepare MLR submissions by tagging and linking in client systems.
- Lead editing for assigned accounts, represent editorial at meetings, and ensure compliance with client processes.
- Collaborate with account teams to improve internal routing and efficiencies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, English, Life Science, Regulatory, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years editing experience in medical communications, pharmaceutical, or healthcare industry.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat.
- Familiarity with PubMed, Google Scholar, AMA Style (11th edition), MLR requirements, and client submission platforms like Veeva.
- High autonomy, detail-oriented, strong written/verbal English skills, ability to prioritize deadlines.
Nice to have
- At least 1 year in advertising/pharmaceutical marketing.
- At least 1 year editing publications (manuscripts, posters).
- Experience with MLR reviews and FDA requirements for pharmaceutical advertising.
- Familiarity with long-form editing (publications, dossiers).
