What you will do

• Lead, supervise, and support the purchasing team to achieve departmental goals and performance targets.
• Manage cost control and accountability to achieve company margin targets.
• Optimize stock levels, lead times, and economic order quantities to improve stock turns.
• Own and maintain the Supply Chain Risk Register, escalating major concerns to the Operations Director.
• Monitor and report on monthly key metrics (KPIs) to drive continuous performance improvement.
• Develop tools for measuring supplier performance and resolve escalations effectively.

Requirements

• Professional experience within the manufacturing sector.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in people management.
• Proven expertise in negotiation, supplier relationship management, and contract management.
• Familiarity with ERP systems.
• Must be available for a June or July start date.
• Must be based near Middlesbrough or able to commute to the location.
