TL;DR

Senior Fullstack Software Engineer (AI/Design Systems): Developing and evolving the Kendo UI Themes framework and AI-powered tooling for UI component libraries with an accent on design-token-driven theming and agentic workflows. Focus on migrating SCSS to CSS custom properties, implementing OKLCH color generation, and building LLM-friendly configuration surfaces.

What you will do

  • Own and evolve the Kendo UI Themes framework for JS (React, Angular, Vue) and .NET ecosystems.
  • Architect SCSS-to-CSS custom property migration paths to enable runtime theme switching.
  • Develop AI-enabled tooling, including MCP servers and prompt-to-theme pipelines for programmatic theme generation.
  • Implement perceptually uniform color generation using OKLCH with WCAG/APCA contrast validation.
  • Create CLI and programmatic APIs to produce multi-format output from a single source of truth.
  • Collaborate with designers and advocates to ensure theming APIs are intuitive and well-documented.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience with deep expertise in React and modern TypeScript.
  • Strong command of SCSS/Sass architecture and large-scale variable management.
  • Hands-on experience building design systems, component libraries, or theming frameworks at scale.
  • Solid understanding of CSS custom properties, cascade layers, and the DTCG specification.
  • Experience with monorepo tooling (Nx, npm workspaces) and build pipelines (Vite, Rollup).
  • Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Nice to have

  • Familiarity with AI-enabled developer tools and agentic workflows (LLM integration, prompt engineering).
  • Understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA/AAA, APCA).
  • Experience with Node.js backend tooling, CLI frameworks, and JSON schema validation.
