Mid Software Engineer (Fullstack)

What you will do

• Develop new pages and components using Next.js and React powered by SSR, REST, and GraphQL.
• Design and implement protobuf contracts to support an efficient service-centric architecture.
• Modernize the platform by migrating legacy Ruby on Rails systems into scalable services using Node.js and Go.
• Drive quality and performance improvements through observability, load testing, and metrics.
• Collaborate with Product Managers and Designers to deliver effective, scalable solutions.
• Participate in code reviews, pair programming, and dedicated learning days for platform enhancements.

Requirements

• Proven experience working within productive software engineering teams delivering high-quality software.
• Expertise in fullstack development across multiple languages and modern architectures.
• Must be based in the United Kingdom.
• Ability to work autonomously and approach problems with pragmatism in a continuous deployment environment.
• Strong communication skills, specifically for asynchronous collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with TypeScript, Next.js, Node.js, Go, Rust, Kafka, Grafana, GraphQL, MongoDB, Elixir, or Postgres.
• Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD tooling such as Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, or Argo CD.
