TL;DR

Lead Automation QA Engineer: Architect test automation frameworks from scratch and develop automated UI & API tests with an accent on CI/CD integration, quality metrics, and test infrastructure. Focus on leading code reviews, onboarding team members, analyzing test results, and mitigating testing risks.

Location: PL-Remote (Poland). Full remote working possibilities within Poland.

What you will do

  • Architect test automation frameworks from scratch and develop automated functional UI & API tests
  • Integrate automated scripts into CI/CD processes and maintain testing infrastructure
  • Lead code reviews, set quality standards, and guide team members
  • Define quality metrics, measure test effectiveness, and analyze product stability
  • Collaborate to automate manual tests, manage risks, and onboard new team members
  • Suggest improvements to testing and release workflows

Requirements

  • Good English skills – Upper-Intermediate and above
  • 3+ years in QA Automation of Web and backend/API testing
  • Excellent knowledge of testing methods, techniques, types, and methodologies
  • Experience creating or maintaining test documentation (strategy, plans)
  • Solid Java skills, programming patterns, and principles
  • Experience with test reporting (Allure), UI/REST API automation (Selenium, RestAssured), frameworks (Cucumber, TestNG), BDD/ATDD/TDD, CI/CD, Docker, Agile/Scrum/Kanban

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of AWS/Azure DevOps
  • API test automation for microservices
  • Mobile automation, cloud device farms
  • Message brokers (SQS, SNS, Kafka, RabbitMQ)
  • SQL and no-SQL DBs (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis)
  • Other languages (JS, Python, C#)
