What you will do

• Own and evolve the product backlog for data-driven initiatives across Consumer Lending and Consumer Relationships.
• Translate business needs into clear, prioritised user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Lead sprint planning and backlog refinement to ensure delivery stays on track.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering and design to define and deliver product goals.
• Provide oversight of delivery progress, risks, and dependencies across multiple squads.
• Balance technical feasibility with commercial value to exceed customer expectations.

Requirements

• 4 years of experience as a Product Owner, ideally in a data-rich environment.
• Solid understanding of data engineering concepts, including pipelines, cloud platforms (e.g., GCP), Kafka, and data governance.
• Proven ability to drive delivery in agile environments while handling tight deadlines and competing priorities.
• Strong collaboration and leadership skills to influence both technical and non-technical teams.
• Experience working with cross-functional squads including data designers and engineers.
• Must be based in or able to work from Chester or Manchester on a hybrid basis.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Consumer Lending products and regulatory frameworks.
• Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and data visualisation platforms.
