What you will do

• Design and implement complex features across the web-shop for millions of users.
• Extend and build backend services ensuring clean interfaces and well-defined API contracts.
• Develop frontend components using React with a focus on performance and maintainability.
• Implement scalable asynchronous communication patterns using RabbitMQ.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks, reliability gaps, and technical debt.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and contribute to the improvement of engineering standards.

Requirements

• Strong experience building and operating scalable services with Node.js and TypeScript.
• Solid expertise in RESTful API design, HTTP semantics, and distributed system fundamentals.
• Deep understanding of asynchronous communication and event-driven architecture.
• DevOps mindset with proficiency in Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to work independently on complex tasks while aligning with team architecture.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Berlin office (Hybrid).
