Accountant (German)

What you will do

• Manage and approve incoming purchase orders and travel expense reports via SAP Concur.
• Handle credit card statements and monitor customer incoming payments.
• Maintain accounts receivable, accounts payable, and reconcile intercompany accounts.
• Support the determination of provisions and accruals for month-end closing.
• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements according to HGB.
• Optimize departmental accounting processes and implement improvement projects.

Requirements

• Completed commercial vocational training and further education as a financial accountant.
• 3+ years of professional experience in a similar accounting role.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• English proficiency required; German language skills are a strong plus.
• Must be based in or able to work from Lisbon, Portugal (Hybrid).

Nice to have

• Knowledge of IFRS.
• Experience with Netsuite.
