Graphics Programmer (Unity)

Location: Remote (US). Must be available for core hours 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. CT and be able to travel to Austin, TX 4-6 times per year.

Salary: $150,000 - $180,000 USD/year

What you will do

• Implement shaders, graphic systems, and visual tools based on Design and Art direction.
• Port projects to new platforms ensuring adherence to engine and platform requirements.
• Optimize graphics-related issues using profiling tools like RenderDoc and Unity Profile.
• Develop and test code, fix bugs, and ensure authored features are maintainable.
• Collaborate cross-departmentally to break down deliverables and provide accurate estimates.
• Mentor team members on graphics best practices through code reviews and documentation.

Requirements

• 7+ years of graphics programming experience.
• Deep Unity programming expertise (C#, HLSL).
• Strong understanding of Unity’s Scriptable Render Pipeline (SRP), Universal Render Pipeline (URP), Vulkan, and OpenGL.
• Experience with XR platforms and tile-based renderers.
• Must be based in the US to support core hours 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. CT.
• Must be able to travel to Austin, TX 4-6 times per year.

Nice to have

• 10+ years of graphics programming experience.
• Cross-programming expertise in C++, Java, or Python.
