TL;DR

What you will do

• Lead the design of digital instrument clusters, including layouts, faces, and brand variants.
• Define and refine alert and notification architecture prioritizing safety and legibility.
• Shape information hierarchy, motion, and state models for real-time driver information.
• Partner with software engineers, safety experts, and product managers to translate requirements into user-centered solutions.
• Develop and evolve design guidelines, patterns, and frameworks for the vehicle ecosystem.
• Mentor other designers on instrumentation best practices to elevate craft quality.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience creating digital interfaces for automotive, web, mobile, or embedded systems.
• Degree in Interface Design, HCI, Visual Design, or a related discipline.
• Strong portfolio showcasing UX, interaction design, and information design for data-rich experiences.
• Proficiency in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Ability to balance aesthetics with functional clarity for safety-critical use cases.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without current or future sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience in automotive HMI, specifically instrument clusters or HUDs.
• Experience working in lean or agile product environments with rapid validation.
• Strong understanding of accessibility and inclusive design for in-vehicle contexts.
• Proficiency in interactive prototyping with real-time system simulation.
