TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer I, Speciality Care Retention (Ruby on Rails/React): Designing and shipping full stack features to empower members to begin their mental health journey with an accent on scalable architecture and system reliability. Focus on turning experiments into production features, optimizing high-performance code, and mentoring junior engineers.

Location: Hybrid in San Francisco, CA; must be based in the San Francisco metro area or be able to relocate independently within 90 days. Office attendance is required 2–3 days per week.

Salary: $183,000 - $205,550

What you will do

  • Write, review, and optimize production-ready code daily while driving technical decisions.
  • Architect and deliver scalable, high-performance code to ensure maintainability and reliability.
  • Own technical delivery for complex projects or subsystems.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and clinical teams to ship high-impact member and provider features.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation to support system reliability and respond to production issues.
  • Mentor and support the professional growth of junior engineers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software development with a focus on full stack development.
  • Proficiency with Ruby on Rails, GraphQL, and AWS.
  • Experience with React, Redux, and modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Experience with Docker and managing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Proven ability to independently lead the delivery of complex technical projects.
  • Experience working in cross-functional Agile/Scrum teams.
