What you will do

• Monitor customer-facing services and lead the resolution of Severity 0 and 1 incidents.
• Conduct technical reviews and contribute to Root Cause Analyses (RCAs).
• Automate the detection and resolution of recurring production issues to reduce engineering toil.
• Drive compliance, resiliency, and self-healing initiatives through destructive testing and game day exercises.
• Mentor team members and drive the adoption of current industry technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent technical experience.
• Experience in enterprise-scale internet service engineering with strong RHEL/Unix CLI knowledge.
• Expertise in TCP/IP networking technologies and protocols.
• Proven experience in incident management and ITIL service operations in 24/7 environments.
• Proficiency in Python or Go and experience operating AWS infrastructure.

Nice to have

• Experience with configuration management (Chef, Puppet) and pipeline tools (Jenkins, Bamboo, Spinnaker).
• Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes-based applications and services.
• Certifications in Linux+, Red Hat, or AWS.
• Familiarity with Agile processes and DevOps practices.
