What you will do
- Provide production support for Sybase ASE, IQ, DB2, Postgres, Hadoop, MSSQL, MongoDB, and Oracle on a global scale.
- Perform daily monitoring of database infrastructure and manage maintenance jobs using Autosys.
- Conduct root cause analysis on system failures and implement remediation solutions.
- Manage provisioning activities, user requests, and participate in Business Continuity plan tests.
- Coordinate with application and IT support teams to resolve critical requests timely.
- Lead small project initiatives, including datacenter migrations and database software/hardware lifecycle updates.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience in database administration.
- 5 years of experience supporting Red Hat Enterprise Linux (v5/6/7/8).
- Extensive experience with Sybase ASE, IQ, and Replication on Linux platforms.
- Strong knowledge of UDB/DB2, including HADR, database design, and maintenance.
- Solid understanding of banking domains and processes.
- Must be located in Salt Lake City, UT (onsite) and available to work weekends.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of job schedulers such as bash, Autosys, and cron jobs.
