Staff Software Engineer

TL;DR

Location: Remote from Mexico or hybrid from Mexico City office. No visa sponsorship.

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable features for exploding user scale.
• Drive new features by breaking down complex problems and delivering high-quality code.
• Create and maintain test automation for continuous integration.
• Design and deliver REST APIs for client-backend interactions.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with data science, design, product, and other teams.
• Mentor engineers through code, design, and architecture reviews.
• Debug production issues and leverage new technologies in distributed systems.

Requirements

• 7+ years development experience in fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor's, Master’s, or PhD in CS or equivalent.
• Proficient in C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, Go, or Scala.
• Hands-on with databases (DynamoDB, MySQL, ElasticSearch) and data pipelines.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, functional/integration tests.
• Excellent communication; thrive in dynamic settings.
• Experience with AI-assisted tools like GitHub Copilot or Cursor.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes and microservice architecture.
