TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (Backend/Fintech): Developing foundational trust services including identity verification (KYC), PII tokenization, and secure file handling with an accent on security, regulatory compliance, and scalability. Focus on designing high-quality backend architectures, integrating cross-team services, and leveraging AI-augmented engineering tools to optimize development.

Location: Remote or Hybrid in Mexico (Mexico City). Visa sponsorship is not provided.

What you will do

  • Plan, design, and ship features for KYC, identity verification, PII tokenization, and user deduplication.
  • Own a specific focus area of the Trust surface area from design through to production operations.
  • Make architectural decisions for backend services meeting regulatory, security, and scalability requirements.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to integrate trust capabilities and provide durable documentation.
  • Participate in on-call rotations and contribute to observability and incident response.
  • Mentor peers through code and architecture reviews to foster a culture of continuous lhirify.globalg.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of software development experience owning projects end-to-end.
  • Strong instincts for backend system design and experience with RESTful APIs.
  • Proficiency with SQL and NoSQL data stores.
  • Must be based in Mexico; unable to provide visa sponsorship or immigration support.
  • Productive use of AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Cursor, ChatGPT).
  • Background in security, privacy, or compliance (KYC, PII handling, encryption, tokenization).

Nice to have

  • Production experience with Go.
  • Familiarity with the FinTech domain.
