Location: Must be based in Hungary and hold a valid Hungarian work permit. Hybrid model: 2 days per month in Vienna's Office.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and support custom Java backend services using Spring Boot and Hibernate.
• Contribute to system architecture following clean code principles and enterprise design patterns.
• Collaborate with Architects and Product Managers in an Agile team of 6–10 members.
• Analyze requirements for technical soundness and translate them into scalable solutions.
• Maintain and optimize existing applications to improve performance and reliability.
• Conduct peer code reviews and participate in knowledge-sharing sessions.

Requirements

• 8–10+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in Java, Spring (Spring Boot), and Hibernate.
• Proficiency in designing REST APIs and working with MS SQL Server.
• Experience with Maven and Apache-based application/web servers.
• Valid Hungarian work permit and residence in Hungary are mandatory.
• Professional English communication skills (oral and written).

Nice to have

• Experience in the payments industry (banking, credit cards, merchant processing).
• Knowledge of internet security concepts.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and messaging systems like RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with the SAS platform.
