Staff Software Engineer (AI)

TL;DR

What you will do

• Drive the technical design and delivery of Vantage platform capabilities, from architecture and API contracts to deployment and monitoring.
• Define and uphold engineering standards for code quality, service reliability, performance, and security across teams.
• Collaborate with product management and ML engineering to translate business priorities into actionable technical roadmaps.
• Lead initiatives to improve platform health, including service decomposition, observability, and CI/CD maturity.
• Own high-severity incident response for cloud services and drive systemic reliability improvements through post-mortems.
• Mentor Senior and Principal engineers, fostering a culture of technical rigor and shared ownership.

Requirements

• 10–13 years of professional software engineering experience with deep expertise in C++.
• Proficiency and willingness to work with both C# .NET and C++.
• Proven experience designing and operating CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps.
• Strong command of microservices architecture and distributed system design at enterprise scale.
• Demonstrated ability to mentor senior engineers and influence architectural decisions across product boundaries.
• Must be based in or be able to work in a hybrid setup in Budapest, Hungary.

Nice to have

• Experience with Microsoft Azure (AKS, Storage, Key Vaults, Azure SQL).
• Track record of delivering production-grade systems meeting enterprise compliance and security standards.
• Hands-on experience with workflow-driven systems, orchestration, and state management.
• Experience integrating Machine Learning, Neural Networks, or LLMs into enterprise applications.
