TL;DR

PE 1 (FLS) (Semiconductor Manufacturing): Provide first-line troubleshooting support for production processes in cleanroom environment with an accent on mechanical assembly, glass-to-metal bonding, and tooling stand issues. Focus on real-time issue resolution, documenting disturbances, SPC tracking, and driving continuous improvement through OCAPs and DRB participation.

Location: Onsite in Wilton, CT, US. D2 shift: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, every other Wednesday, 6AM-6PM. Full cleanroom gowning required. Must be legally authorized to access US-controlled technology (Export Administration Regulations)

What you will do

• Spend 75% of time in cleanroom providing real-time troubleshooting for production issues to minimize downtime and optimize output.
• Document disturbances, resolutions, and learnings to enhance OCAPs and support future troubleshooting.
• Escalate complex issues, create ETPs, task lists, DOs, and manage E-Scraps for traceability.
• Maintain SPC tracking for tooling and products, perform pre-DRB activities, and participate in DRB/MRB processes.
• Execute 'As New' validations, cherry picks for quality, and create ODRs for non-structural issues.
• Collaborate with production, FLS, and cross-functional teams on continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or relevant engineering domain
• Solid understanding of complicated manufacturing assemblies
• Working knowledge of integrated Hardware/Software testers
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical skills, and structured problem-solving
• Ability to read mechanical, electrical, and optical drawings
• Effective communication, documentation, and cross-team collaboration
• Ability to work in cleanroom (full gowning), handle chemicals, lasers, lift 35 lbs, and occasional travel

Nice to have

• Experience with CMM tooling, vacuum systems, optical surfaces (Scratch-Dig specs)
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux/Python/MATLAB, NX, Teamcenter, SAP, Twinscan
• Familiarity with SPC, FMEA, multi-disciplinary electro-mechanical assemblies
