What you will do

• Design and develop scalable backend systems and APIs using Node.js for the vibe coding platform.
• Take ownership of backend features and make architectural decisions with guidance from senior engineers.
• Optimize API performance, database efficiency, and overall system scalability to handle real-world challenges.
• Integrate third-party APIs and implement robust data storage solutions.
• Write tested, documented, and maintainable code that creates direct business value.
• Collaborate closely with frontend developers and product managers to ship high-impact features.

Requirements

• 4+ years of production experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Solid understanding of REST APIs and a proven track record of shipping user-dependent features.
• Experience with message queues such as RabbitMQ, BullMQ, or GCP PubSub.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, and containerization.
• Proficiency with observability tools like Grafana and testing frameworks (Jest, Mocha).
• Strong SQL skills and experience with ORMs (Prisma, TypeORM, Sequelize) and Redis.

Nice to have

• Exposure to microservices architecture.
• Experience with AI tools and LLM providers.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Terraform.
