Salary: €3,546 - €5,538 per month

What you will do
- Lead the development of the UrbanHealthTwin digital twin platform, integrating climate, hydrological, and epidemiological models.
- Develop knowledge-graph-based approaches for integrating heterogeneous datasets.
- Design interactive and explainable digital twin interfaces for policymakers and public health professionals.
- Coordinate digital twin activities across an international consortium involving partners in the Netherlands and Brazil.
- Conduct case studies on urban heat islands, waterlogging risks, and mosquito breeding risks.
- Contribute to scientific publications, prototypes, and project deliverables.
Requirements
- PhD (or near completion) in Computer Science, AI, Geomatics, Civil/Environmental Engineering, or related fields.
- Experience with digital twins, geospatial modelling, simulation workflows, or semantic data integration.
- Strong programming skills, preferably in Python and/or JavaScript.
- Proficiency in GIS and spatial data processing.
- Ability to travel to São Paulo, Brazil for an extended research stay.
- Fluent English communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
Nice to have
- Experience with knowledge graphs and semantic web technologies.
- Knowledge of FAIR data principles and climate-risk mapping.
- Experience in epidemiological or urban climate modelling.
