What you will do

• Design and optimize high-pressure natural gas supply lines, metering and regulating stations, and tie-ins to gas turbines.
• Perform detailed engineering analysis (stress, hydraulic, surge, materials) using tools such as CAESAR II and Aspen.
• Develop P&IDs, specifications, construction drawings, BOMs, and test plans for gas infrastructure.
• Ensure full compliance with PHMSA, DOT 49 CFR 192/195, ASME B31.3/B31.8, NFPA, and local environmental standards.
• Collaborate with power generation, electrical, and facilities teams to integrate gas systems with turbine installations.
• Conduct risk assessments, HAZOP studies, and root cause investigations for gas-related incidents.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Pipeline, or Chemical Engineering.
• 1+ years of experience in natural gas pipeline design, operation, or integrity management.
• Must be based in or able to work fully onsite in the Memphis region.
• Ability to work in industrial/power plant and data center environments, including climbing and lifting.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or PE license.
• Direct experience supporting natural gas turbine power plants or hyperscale backup power systems.
• Familiarity with large-scale on-site generation facilities (turbines >10 MW).
• Knowledge of leak detection systems, odorization, and corrosion control.
